Here are just a few of the tips inside:
- Bag your books! Cookbooks are great, but trying to keep them open at the right page while you follow a recipe can be a nightmare! Put your cookbook, opened to the correct recipe, in a clear plastic folder or bag to protect it from smears and splashes as well as keeping the pages from falling shut or flipping in the breeze.
- Skinned shallots! Although small, these tiny flavourful onions can also reduce you to tears. Top and tail the shallots and drop them into boiling water. Leave to stand for a minute, then drain. Gentle pressure from the fingers should pop the shallot out of its skin!
- Minimise mould! A periodic vinegar wipe will keep the door seal on your fridge/freezer from sprouting mould or mildew in the creases.
